The students have developed a distinguished proficiency in performing Tagore Dance Dramas and also various forms of dances
As a result of continuous endeavor to develop students in the field of Vocal music and Dance, students in the past years have participated in several prestigious Cultural meets such as Vidyasagar Mela, Book Fair , Independence Day, Kanyashree, Foundation Day etc.
Celebrating and Participating in Social and Cultural Events :
Every year students participate and celebrate various Social and Cultural Events like International Language Day, Women’s Day, Teachers Day, School Foundation Day, Vidyasagar Mela etc. Apart from the enjoyment of togetherness and team bonding while participating in the programmes. They also develop their skills in organizing events of various sizes.
Enhancing social awareness through special initiatives :
Following programmes have been organised during the year for developing awareness and scientific temper :-
- Quize and Extempor Speech competition on Vidyasagar.
- National Scientific Temper Day,
- Birthday of Sister Nebedita,
- World Environment Day ,
- International Mother Language Day,
- Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Netaji Subhas Ch Bose, Satyendranath Basu, Prafullya Ch. Roy etc.
- Observation of various important Day.
Sushil Sen (Leader of Tebhaga Movement) Memorial Lecture
In respectful memory of Sushil Sen, the pioneer of Tebhaga movement (an independence campaign initiated by the Kisan Sabha in 1946-1947) every year school organises a lecture, inviting speakers who have and who had led and contributed towards social upliftment.
In the year 2017 and 2018 Prof. Sumitra Chakrabarty and Prof. Shymal Chakrabarty respectively delivered their speech on Sister Nibedita and Acharya Prafullya Ch. Roy.
